The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, led the Great Mobilization on February 4 to commemorate the 33rd anniversary of the Civic-Military Rebellion of February 4, a historic event that marked the beginning of the struggle for national dignity.
During the ceremony, the president recalled that February 4, 1992, as “a day of dignity and the awakening of history,” paying tribute to the legacy of Commander Hugo Chávez, the leader of that historic feat.
“Commander Hugo Chávez, wherever you are today, know that the Operation Ezequiel Zamora of February 4, 1992, remains active, and your people are victorious,” expressed President Maduro, highlighting the bravery and commitment of the revolutionary leader in the fight to liberate the Venezuelan people from U.S. imperialism.
In his speech, the head of state reminisced about how Chávez became a beacon of unity and construction for the Venezuelan people, stating: “The challenges of yesterday were met. There were those who raised their voices, who rebelled against 500 years of domination and opened the way. There was also a leader who guided, educated, and forged this people toward unity and construction.”
